EOC Update: Keremeos west rockslide Thursday, November 9, 2023, 3:00 pm

A geotechnical assessment was completed at the site of a rockslide in Electoral Area “G” west of Keremeos. The assessment, which was conducted on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, determined the risk of rock fall has returned to previous levels.
The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen Emergency Operations Centre (RDOS EOC) continues to work with the Province of British Columbia to assess the situation. The photos below, provided by Ecora Engineering, show some of the damage to the highway and utility poles.

Highway 3 (Crowsnest Highway), in both directions. Rock slide between Hedley-Nickleplate Rd and Ashnola Rd for 5.5 km (3 to 9 km west of Keremeos). Watch for traffic control. Lane Closure.
