EVACUATION ORDER RESCIND - September 8, 2023, 5:00 pm

The EVACUATION ORDER, Pursuant to Section 13 (1) of the BC Emergency Program Act issued by the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen on August 15, 2023 at 10:15 pm is RESCINDED.

The Order RESCIND is in effect for the following:

• Electoral Area “B” and Electoral Area “G” along the Ashnola River in the Cathedral Provincial Park including the Cathedral Lakes Lodge and in the Snowy Protected Area

An Evacuation Alert may need to be issued; and if it is deemed necessary, the Evacuation Order process will re-commence.

Preparing for Evacuation Alerts or Orders

• Fill the gas tank of personal vehicles.
• Prepare food and essential supplies for a minimum of three days (local grocery stores may not yet have adequate stock):
  • medications
  • pet supplies
  • To coordinate relocation or safe return of your animals or livestock, please contact:
