The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) advises that due to the Nk'Mip Creek wildfire in Electoral Area A and the potential threat to life and property a State of Local Emergency (SOLE) has been issued.

WHEREAS due to the Nk'Mip Creek wildfire in Electoral Area A and the imminent threat to life and property; and,

With the power authorized under Section 12 (1) of the Emergency Program Act (RS, 1996, Chap 111) it is now declared that a state of local emergency exists in the RDOS for all of Electoral Area A, 

The State of Local Emergency commences immediately on July 20, 2021 to remain in force for seven days until July 27, 2021 at midnight unless revoked by order of the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen or the Minister responsible.
