Pursuant to the Emergency Program Act, an Evacuation Alert has been issued by the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) due to the Brenda Creek wildfire south of Brenda Mine in Electoral Area H.

The Evacuation Alert zone within the RDOS includes Eneas Lakes Provincial Park. There are no properties or parcels sited within the Evacuation Alert zone. A detailed map is included below.

An Evacuation Alert has been issued to prepare you to evacuate the area should an Evacuation Order be issued. As much advance notice as possible will be provided prior to an Evacuation Order, however you may receive limited notice due to changing conditions. BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) and the RDOS Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) are actively assessing the situation and should conditions deteriorate, Evacuation Orders may be issued for affected residents.

In order to assist with BCWS crew operations, road closures are in effect at the following locations:

• Intersection of Trout Creek Forest Service Road and Princeton-Summerland Road
• Intersection of Headwaters Road and Brenda Mine Road
• Intersection of Sunset Road and Highway 97C

• All evacuees under Evacuation ORDER and ALERT are to register online with the Emergency Support Services (ESS) Evacuee Registration & Assistance (ERA) tool: ess.gov.bc.ca.
• If you are an evacuee, please contact your insurance company to confirm your coverage.
• If you are on vacation in the area, please return home.
• Due to a shortage of hotel accommodations, please consider making arrangements to stay with family or friends if possible.
• If you require services or other Emergency Support Services (ESS) information, please call: 250-486-1890.

• If you have pets or livestock that need to be cared for and billeted, please contact Animal Lifeline Emergency Response Team (ALERT) for support: 250-809-7152.
