Electoral Areas “A”, “C”, “D”, “E”, “F”, “H” & “I”

Zoning Amendment Bylaw

Amendments are being sought in order to streamline the bylaws regulating the development of campgrounds and manufactured home parks, and remove the existing permitting schemes established under the Campground and Manufactured Home Park Regulations Bylaws.

Bylaw No. 3061, 2024, proposes to repeal the Campground Regulations Bylaw No. 2779, 2018 and Manufactured Home Park Regulations Bylaw No. 2597, 2012, and incorporate pertinent servicing and design/layout (access/internal roadway) regulations into the Okanagan Valley Zoning Bylaw No. 2800, 2022 and Electoral Area “H” Zoning Bylaw No. 2498, 2012.

This bylaw may also be inspected at the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen office at 101 Martin Street, Penticton, BC, on weekdays (excluding statutory holidays) between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. up until the close of the public hearing on Thursday, February 22, 2024.

Anyone who considers themselves affected by Bylaw No. 3061, 2024, can present written information to the Regional District prior to or at the public hearing and may also speak at the public hearing. No letter, report or representation from the public will be received after the conclusion of the public hearing.
