EOC Update: drive carefully as fire crews active

News Article

Apex Mountain Resort and a portion of Green Mountain Road remain on Evacuation Order. Some structural protection equipment remains in place at Apex, and residents are asked to stay out of the Evacuation Order areas. An Evacuation Alert remains in place for selected properties along Highway 3A from Twin Lakes to Olalla.

Increased RCMP Enforcement
Road restrictions and active flagging operations are in place on Highway 3 south of Cawston due to a new wildfire. Highway 3A is now open to all traffic with speed restrictions and the potential for temporary closures as required by fire officials. RCMP members are active along highways 3 and 3A. Smoke may reduce visibility and drivers are asked to slow down, drive carefully, and watch for crews and equipment.

Firefighters are active along Highway 3A and Highway 3, monitoring wildfires and protecting homes.
